The T20 World Cup 2024 is just a month away and Pakistan will have a jam-packed month of May as preparations for the mega event will continue with two T20I series.
Pakistan recently hosted New Zealand in a five-match T20I series which ended 2-2 with the Green Shirts winning the second and fifth T20I while the visitors got the better of the home side in the third and fourth matches. Meanwhile, the first encounter in Pindi was called off due to rain.
Babar Azam’s side's journey will continue in the month of May as they will first visit Ireland to play a three-match T20I series. After its conclusion, they will head to England to participate in a four-match T20I series.
Both the series would be of utmost importance as Pakistan, who finished as the runners-up of the 2022 World Cup after losing to England in the final, are eager to lift the title after coming so close in the last two editions.
Pakistan adopted a rotation policy and tested their bench strength in the series against New Zealand and the same could be done against Ireland. However, the Babar Azam-led unit will feature with their strongest team against England as it would be their last outing before the mega event.
